THE SECRET GARDEN IN THE CITY

https://distillery244.com/frnew1/1021 This week, London has been particularly fortunate with the weather and naturally, I made it my mission to find the perfect place to go for drinks in the sun. It sounds unlikely, but I found my secret garden nestled right in the middle of the City! Just a stones through away from Liverpool Street Station in fact.

enter site Tall gates and smiley hostesses meet you at the unassuming entrance on New Street and once you get inside, the garden is buzzing. The tall walls (and amazing cocktails) make you forget about the work day and allow you to unwind under the sun.

After having glanced at the menu, I knew exactly what I wanted – a Frozé (a frozen rosé for those who were wondering). Think refreshing rosé slush puppy. The bartenders were using Belzasar’s Rosé Vermouth and it tasted glorious! Exactly what I needed on a sunny day in the city.

The garden was so beautifully decorated with flowers, trees and shrubbery – extremely instagrammable if you ask me…

(I told you)

There were also a band named ‘The Modern Jesters’ who could play any song on the planet (I mean it!). From Bob Marley to the Backstreet Boys, they kept us singing along all evening!

Now, I thought the frozé was good, until I tasted the Belzasar Rosé & Tonic. Not only is this drink likely to be the most beautiful drink I’ve seen, it also tasted unbelievably good. I see it as new and improved Aperol Spritz: lighter, prettier and more refreshing.

They describe it as perfect for balmy summer nights that go on forever and I could not put it better myself. (Honestly, if you do anything this summer, you simply have to try this drink!)

As the night drew to a close, the garden looked as beautiful as ever and we began to head home…

Not before another Rose & Tonic, however!
